Fallout 2006
This years Congress attracted over 500 delegates, an unexpected number due to the contraction of the market, and below you can see our 2006 sponsors in situ!
Returning to its most popular themes the seminar focused on the drivers of run-off and was it coming from those working in it, or from outside forces? There was a general consenus that in each of the sectors spoken on that change was coming externally following the BAIC court decision, RiverStone's Part VII approval in the US court, the asbestos inertia in US politics, new FSA rules and the rest of the world setting up their own trade associations to keep abreast of all that was going on in the worldwide run-off sector.
The Association itself took up the challenge and let delegates reveal their hopes and fears for ARC and this was a well attended and debated part of the day. Later on a second panel of market pracitioners aired their views on the influences on the sector and how they were fighting back. Sir Philip Otton rounded off the day with a light highted view on the market from his eyes as a Court of Appeal judge and arbitrator.
Once again we would like to say that it is only with the support of our Members that this event can continue and we welcome all comments from Members on our percieved success or otherwise.
We would like to thank all of you who attended and made it such a sucess and a grateful thanks to all of our sponsors for allowing us to keep the entry prices at such a low level by their continued support of the event.
